Brown sugar is preferable because it is gentle on the skin, it is also rich in antioxidants that protect your skin from ultraviolet damage from the sun exposure.
Honey is a natural moisturizer, it helps the lips with hydration and keeps it healthy. It also has enzymes that help lighten the skin of the lips.
To prepare, one tablespoon brown sugar in a bowl, add one tablespoon of honey. Mix carefully and apply on your lips, massaging gently for about a minute. The massage helps with exfoliation as well as blood circulation keeping the lips healthy and soft. Rinse with water after a few minutes. Repeat for about two to three weeks for effectiveness.
